Score A Creative Learning Student Olympiad

The Score A Student Olympiad is Faber-Castell Malaysia’s annual creative learning competition designed to help students discover smarter ways to learn, revise, and excel in exams.
Through exciting missions and hands-on learning challenges, students will learn how to transform information into powerful visual notes using creative learning techniques such as mind maps, river flow notes, sketch noting, memory techniques, colour coding, and critical thinking frameworks.

Your Score A Olympiad Journey
In the Score A Student Olympiad, students will progress through a series of exciting missions designed to develop and showcase their creative learning, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
Mission 1 – Qualifying Stage
Students are required to complete an online assessment and submit creative notes using creative learning techniques such as mind maps, river flow notes, sketch noting, and colour coding.
Participants will be evaluated based on:
Online assessment performance
Creative application of learning techniques
Critical thinking ability
Only the Top 100 students from each category (Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper Secondary) will advance to the next mission.
Semi-Final — The Advanced Challenge
The challenge level increases as shortlisted students take on more advanced learning tasks designed to test their creativity, understanding, and communication skills.
In addition to creative note creation and assessments, students will also be evaluated on their:
Presentation skills
Idea organisation
Confidence in communication
Only the Top 10 finalists from each category will move on to the Grand Finale.
Grand Finale — The Ultimate Showdown
The Grand Finale is a 2-day physical event held at a selected venue in Klang Valley.
Finalists will go through a series of exciting challenges, including:
Creative note creation
Assessments
Critical thinking challenges
Live presentations with Q & A sessions
All finalists will be evaluated by a panel of education and learning experts.
At the end of the competition, one outstanding student from each category will be crowned the:

You are only allowed ONE attempt, so make sure you are well-prepared and have studied thoroughly beforehand.

Following the Ministry of Education’s guideline and subject to MOE’s consideration and approval AFTER the Challenge has ended, the Organiser shall release the official letter and announcement for the programme recognition and PAJSK marks.
The PAJSK marks are only awarded to eligible participants aged 10 to 17 from government schools.
The Organiser of Score A Creative Learning Challenge neither has any access to the such Points system nor can they impose any influence on the schools/teachers to submit the PAJSK marks for the students/participants. Reference or enquiry to such mentioned points shall be directed to the participant’s school only after the entire programme ends, upon the official announcement by the Organiser via the teacher’s Telegram groups.
The announcement period for programme recognition might take up to 3 months subject to MOE’s approval.
Participants are required to submit their entry and complete all of the challenge for Mission 1 in order to be eligible for an E-Certificate.
Details such as name, school name, and any other information submitted on the Google form will be inserted on the E-Certificate. If any of the details on E-Certificate is inaccurate due to the submission of wrong information, Faber-Castell will neither be held liable nor responsible to revise the E-Certificate.
Regardless of the amount of times an entry has been submitted, each participant will only be eligible to receive 1 (one) E-Certificate.
General Terms & Conditions
Participants may submit multiple creative notes and videos throughout the Challenge. However, only ONE (1) submission will be accepted for qualification and final scoring.
For the online quiz, only the FIRST attempt will be considered for scoring.
All entries must be original creations by the participants themselves. Participants shall not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights. Any reproduction, distribution, or submission of copyrighted or proprietary materials without the rightful owner’s written consent is strictly prohibited.
In the event of doubt regarding the originality of any submission, the Judges’ decision shall be final. No correspondence, appeal, or discussion will be entertained.
Note Creation Requirement
All Creative Note entries must be handwritten. Entries containing digital elements (e.g., typed text, digital designs, or scanned printed materials) will be disqualified.
Submission Deadline
The closing date for each Mission will be announced during the respective briefing sessions. Submissions received after the specified deadline will not be considered and will be disqualified.
Usage of Submissions
By participating in this Challenge, participants grant the Organiser the right to:- Use their names and school names.
- Upload approved or shortlisted submissions to Faber-Castell Malaysia’s Facebook page and official microsite.
- Edit, publish, and use submitted entries for promotional or advertising purposes.
Participants will not be entitled to any compensation or claim over the use of their submitted materials.
Disqualification Clause
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of tampering with the submission process or violating the terms and conditions. Entries found in breach may be removed at the Organiser’s discretion.
Eligibility Restriction for Previous Top 30 Finalists
Participants who were ranked in the Top 30 of the previous year’s Creative Learning Score A Student Olympiad are not eligible to advance to the subsequent rounds of this year’s competition. However, they are welcome to join Mission 1 as participants and will be entitled to receive an e-Certificate of Participation upon completion of the mission.

⚠️ MyKad number is required to merge Creative Note and Quiz scores for final score computation.
Judging Criteria
- All entries shortlisted will be judges on the following criteria:
- Objective Questions/Quiz – The accuracy and/or speed of answering the questions
- Notes creation – How well the participants decipher and categorize information from the articles given and create creative learning notes based on techniques taught and prompted during the Challenge workshop
- Video presentation – How eloquent, confident and clear participants in communicating ideas and information based on the mission topic given.
- The shortlisting and judging process of all entries will be conducted by the selected panel of judges, consists of industry expert(s), Faber-Castell representative(s) and Challenge partner(s).
- The Organiser reserves the right to add, amend, modify the judging criteria based on the context of each Mission.
- The Judges’ decision shall be final and no correspondences, appeals or discussions shall be entertained.
Prizes Terms & Conditions
- All winners will receive their prizes during the Prize Giving Ceremony. The exact date will be communicated to shorlisted participants later.
- The Organiser will not be held liable in the event that prize fulfilments are not completed due to incorrect contact and bank details provided by the Participants.
- The Organiser shall reserve the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value, at any time without prior notice. Non-monetary prizes are given on an “as is” basis and are not exchangeable for cash, credit, other items or vouchers, in part or in full.
- The Organiser may give out small prizes as token of appreciation for the effort put in by specific participants in this Challenge. The selected participants will be announced by the Organiser in selected Telegram groups to obtain their delivery address. Selected participants are to respond to the Organiser within seven [7] days from the initial date of announcement to fill in the correct particulars. The Organiser shall not be held liable in the event the participant(s) is not responsive or does not fill in the form provided after at least three [3] attempts by the Organiser or its agents. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. The Organiser will not be held liable in the event of non-receipt or delayed delivery of the postal notification to the participant[s].
PDPA Declaration
All personal information collected, including your MyKad number, will be used strictly for score tabulation and participant verification. The Organiser ensures that all data will be handled with the highest confidentiality, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010.
